Position Title: Sourcing analyst

Key Responsibility

- Execute standardized sourcing processes and strategies for assigned categories/sub-categories
- Work effectively with peers and others to operate a proactive supplies and consumables environment for the businesses.
- Ability to provide strong strategic & Analytic support, e.g. draft WPA or transactional agreement documents, conduct eSourcing / eProject activities, and complete the spend analysis reports for different categories.
- Ability to understand standard purchasing practices and techniques, independently work with suppliers and receiving locations to quickly reconcile discrepancies with supplier deliveries and other client terms & conditions.
- Analyses quotations, manages day-to-day supplier interfaces including discrepancies/deliveries, etc.
- Participates as member of Sourcing Team to ensure compliance with all procurement processes
- Conduct suppliers performance validation events.
- Conduct basic supplier profiling and financial risk assessment activities
- Basic knowledge of logistics function like procurement of logistics capacity for domestic/International, international transportation, Freight Forwarder, Clearing agents, Custom broker & Warehouse services etc.

Qualification / Knowledge / Skill Sets :

- Self-starter with strong organizational skills and a can-do attitude, creative approaches to problem solving, flexibility and adaptability.
- Category and industry awareness
- Awareness of supply agreement formation, ability to effectively interact with legal counsel
- Excellent communication- written and verbal

- Associate Degree (field related) or equivalent experience. Bachelor’s Degree (PF)
- 1-3 yrs. relevant experience in Purchasing & Transportation Operations
- Excel, Word; PowerPoint, Outlook, ERP/SAP systems knowledge
- Language speaking: Good English speaking, writing and reading skill



Position Title: Senior Sourcing analyst

GEP is currently searching for a Senior Sourcing Analyst based in Shanghai. This candidate will be an experienced sourcing professional who possesses excellent negotiation skills and develops sourcing strategies independently to optimally secure price, availability and delivery. The candidate should also showcase the abilities of a good team player, good client management skills and excellent communication skills.

Key Responsibility

- Monitor and research trends in the industry as well as “Best Practices” and pursue and adopt these as appropriate for assigned commodity area.
- Solicits bids, leads auctions, negotiates with suppliers, makes recommendations, qualifies and contracts with new vendor
- Manage internal customer relationships by leading cross functional sub-category teams, developing deep category knowledge and to aggressively track and improve non-compliance with preferred supplier(s)
- Maintain good level of public relations with outside suppliers as well as a strong partnership with internal stakeholders
- Manage and optimize functional sourcing support activities while ensuring adherence to clients corporate standards.
- Draft and/or evaluate scorecards. Conduct complex suppliers performance validation events and drive improvement initiatives.
- Conduct complex/adhoc supplier profiling and financial risk assessment. Should be able to do industry benchmarking and market intelligence reports independently.

- 3-5 yrs. relevant experience in Purchasing & Transportation Operations
- Familiarity with Microsoft office suites, Outlook, ERP/ P2P systems knowledge(RQ)
- Language requirement: Good English speaking, writing and reading skill.
