Direct report: Head of Purchasing IPO

Main Objectives

1. Structuring of the Asian market for Metal and Mechanism commodities.
2. Perform market survey, pre-evaluation and supplier recommendation towards Export project.
3. Definition of high potential suppliers and projects according to APO requirements and targets.
4. Participation in international Commodity Leaders meeting.
5. Develop suppliers for Metal and Mechanism commodities for local project.
6. Project tracking and handling of occurring issues during the process.

Key responsibilities
1. Definition, tracking and performing sourcing projects
2. Supporting overseas plants in terms of Asia supplier issues.
3. Supporting sourcing activities of Chinese plants.
4. Optimize overall cost of materials
5. Make sourcing decisions based on overall cost and benefit including price, duty, freight, flexibility, service, performance, quality, and terms & conditions.
6. Functional leading of metal commodity and update the Status report to Head of purchasing.

Basic Requirements
3-5 years working experiences in automotive metal stamping purchasing function
Bachelor / Engineer
High skills on English level.
A solid understanding of metal stamping is required.

Domestic and international travel is required

1. Familiarization of purchasing procedures and policies.
2. Familiarization with local market, parts and Magna requirements
3. Target driven, self-standing definition of necessary steps
4. High motivated and good communication skills
5. International business experience, open minded, reliable, experience on the job, managing skills
