DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

- Participate in special corporate projects regarding purchasing and supply base analysis.
- Provide monthly/quarterly report on purchasing AVOB data and RFQ activities for Magna China.
- Provide monthly/quarterly report on Supplier Development and Quality tracking list for Magna China.
- Participate in corporate quarterly review meetings.
- Initiate activities which are necessary to achieve purchasing targets (commercial, structure, processes)
- Take care about a consolidated supply base for commodities / Purchasing - developing preferred suppliers for each
commodity together with Magna Groups and Lead Buyers
- Lead the Magna Lead buyers to achieve cross group savings targets
- Guide the Lead Buyers to manage their Commodities
- Implement "best practice sharing" into the purchasing departments of the Magna groups & divisions
- Support development and implementation of supply base strategy to provide competitive advantages for Magna China groups.
- Develop cross groups activities to generate a maximum of synergies for Magna
- Integrate and consolidate the Asia supply of localized components to strengthen synergy among groups, deepen supplier
relationships and take advantage of pricing opportunities.
- Generate processes and guidance to bundle export and domestic volumes to achieve the best commercial deal for Magna
- Bundle volumes and activities to give magna a strong position at the Chinese supply base
- Support and guide development and implementation of common Materials Management systems at all Operating Divisions in
China.
- Represent China in global purchasing coordination activities
- Participate in advanced customer business opportunities in Asia.
- being deeply involved in Magna Groups Business Planning in terms of material Cost targets
- Develop and support implementation of strategic supply base plan
- Provide Group assistance in critical supplier problems
- Provide "early warning" system to identify potential supplier problems (e.g. pending bankruptcies.)
- Facilitate scheduling of supplier financial risk reviews.

QUALIFICATION

- Bachelor degree or above
- At least 8 years related working experience in automotive industry and at least 5 years experience in managerial role
- Strong communication skill
- Self Motivated, result driven /goal oriented with customer focus and sense of urgency.
- Good computer skill, and presentation skills
- Excellent English skills (oral & writing communications).
