Responsibility:
We have a great opportunity for an experienced HSE engineer to join our team in China. Tektronix will invest in your personal and professional growth by providing you with training opportunities to keep current in your field. The work environment is fast-paced and high-energy.

· Provide HSE leadership to Tektronix operations in China.
· Implement Danaher and Tektronix HSE policies, procedures and programs in compliance with applicable rules, regulations, policies and standards. (a partial list of potentially applicable standards can be found at the end of this position description)
· Compile and submit all required HSE reports to regulatory agencies and fulfil all HSE corporate reporting requirements.
· Drive continuous improvement in HSE through the use of ISO14001 management system and DBS tools.
· Function as the country HSE expert and identify, respond to and resolve HSE regulatory and technical issues associated with Tektronix operations in China.
· In coordination with local management and the Tektronix EHS Manager, act as the HSE liaison with government agencies on behalf of Tektronix.
· Prepare & analyses industrial accident causes/trends and leverage this information to set safety program priorities.
· Manage the incident investigation process.
Develop, implement and maintain measurement and assessment procedures to evaluate progress, performance and compliance. This includes initiating, coordinating & HSE audits and inspections.


Qualification
-Tertiary education degree in a related field.
-At least 3 years' experience in the HSE field in an industrial application (5 years preferred).
-Working knowledge of China HSE laws, regulations and principles.
-Functional knowledge of ISO 9000 and ISO 14001.
-Nationally recognised / accredited trainer, eg, CSE
-Ability to write local HSE programs and instructions and develop HSE training materials.
-Experience assessing risk, developing risk mitigation controls, processes and procedures, and systems measurement.
-Demonstrated, effective interpersonal communication skills.
-Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of variables in situations.
-Ability to travel 25%
