1. Function
a. Operating the lab
b. Investigate technical solutions according the requirements
c. Support the technical sales team
d. Support the customers, tiers and the car manufactures
e. Reporting

2. Activities
a. Resolve technical issues
b. Support the customers to improve the coating process
c. Prepare and coat samples for the customers or the internal usage
d. Coefficient of friction test
e. Salt spray test
f. Metallurgical microscope test
g. Purchase lab equipment, like sodium chloride for the salt spray test, gloves, glasses, etc.
h. Collect the technical figures, analyze them, report them
i. Communicate with the Applied Technology Department in HQs (Germany)
j. Maintain the company lab
k. Control, adjust and set up coating lines incl. test equipment for customers
l. Audit customers (sometimes together car manufactures)
m. calibrate the lab devices
n. Ensure the cleanliness of the whole area

3. Qualification
a. Major in chemistry or mechanics at university
b. At least two years work experience in a chemical or fastener company
c. Some knowledge about the automotive and wind industry is highly appreciated
d. Some experience with German or international companies would be helpful

a. Fluent in English (spoken and written)

We are an independent and wholly foreign owned company in China. Our parent company is based in Germany. Our group produces functional coating for the international and national OEMs. Doerken MKS-Systems (Shanghai) offers for China: the supply of premium products and operates a large laboratory.

You work closely with the General Manager and the technical sales force. We are looking for someone who wants to grow with us. For sure experiences are necessary but more important are your wish to take over responsibility and to learn new things.
