Qualifications:

• Graduate of an accredited school of pharmacy
• 3 - 5 years work experience in a pharmacy (community or hospital) setting
• Pharmacist Qualification Certificate

Skills:

• Good communication skills in English and Chinese
• Self-motivated, energetic, and possess great customer service attitude
• Must be available for days, nights, and weekends

Knowledge:

• Knowledge of government laws pertaining to drugs narcotics and pharmacy practice
• Knowledge of basic clinical pharmacology and pharmacotherapy in Western and Vaccines

Responsibilities:

• Review and interpret prescription orders
• Verify accuracy and completeness of labeling and computer input
• Evaluate and resolves real or potential prescription related problems
• Provide patient consultation on prescription, vaccines, and OTC medications
• Process patient mail orders
• Maintain an up to date and developed knowledge of available vaccines
• Dispense medication to hospitalized patients
• Participate in pharmacy daily tasks (i.e. narcotic count, record keeping)
• Take part in evening and weekend shifts and participate in night on-calls if needed
• Assist pharmacy stock technician in drug procurement (order, receipt and shelving)
• Dispense and maintain proper stock of vaccines
• Compounding products for department stock
• Responsible for special project as assigned by pharmacy manager
