ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
(The fundamental job duties)
1. Manage the supplier selection process.
2. Daily supplier project management routines within LPD system.
3. Manage DPO performance within assigned commodity.
4. Complete Regional Market Studies and plan regional sourcing activities.
5. Manage the RFQ and bidding process.
6. Manage the Supplier Ranking Management Process for assigned supply base.
7. Develop International Logistics Plans for assigned commodity.
8, Manage Government & Trade Compliance for assigned commodity.
9. Manage supplier transitions as necessary.
10. Implement required supplier long term agreements and contracts.
11. Maintain supplier visitation schedule.
12. Prioritize and manage supplier development activities.
13. Plan & Achieve Cost Deflation Goals

JOB REQUIREMENTS:
(The requirements that an individual must absolutely possess to perform the essential functions of the job.)
1. Fluent in Microsoft Office Suite Tools, and is an effective communicator with exceptional personal organization and follow-up skills. Good presentation skills.
2. Capable of complex analysis and use of decision-support tools. Demonstrates decision-making as a matter of fact and data; capable of supporting their course of action with proof of objective logic. Understand and able to conduct cost analysis with tools and resources.
3. Maintains an appropriate network of industry and professional liaisons, enabling The Engineer to rapidly benchmark their approach and to detect developments within assigned categories. On a daily basis, stays properly informed of social, economic and other global trends that could have an impact on delivering results or increasing risk of supply interruption.
4. Mastery of commercial code, business terms and conditions, development of contracts and other business legal documents required to manage the assigned supply base. Understanding of price volatility management tools such as hedging, forward buying, etc.
5. Good negotiator; capable of preparing for, then conducting complex negotiations to achieve desired results on schedule.
6. Undergraduate Degree in Chemical, Purchasing, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, etc.
7. A minimum of three years, preference for up to five years experience in category management roles, working in similar size or larger firms who practice centralized commodity management.
8. Fluency in English.
