I. Background Information
Position Title: Senior Corporate Auditor
Function/Department: GM Audit Services
Location: Shanghai
Required travel frequency: N/A
II. Purpose
To execute Treasury and Finance Operational audits for GM Audit Services in Asia Pacific. Expected results: Identifying key risk factors for local and regional entities. Assisting in the development, execution, and completion of the GM Audit Services plan and assignments. Collaborate with other GM Audit Services team members about audit progress and results. The position will report to a GM Audit Services manager based in New York.
III. Areas of Responsibility
Treasury/Finance Audits
- Audits of Treasury functions across GMIO (Shanghai, Joint Ventures, Asia Pacific)
- Audits of Treasury functions in other regions (e.g. Europe)
IV. Knowledge, Skills, Experience, and Competencies
Knowledge:
- Proficiency in Internal Audit practices and IIA standards
- Experience in auditing capital markets, financial management, operational risks
- General knowledge of COSO Integral Control-Integrated Framework and SOX
Skills/ Competencies:
- Auditing, Accounting, Language skills.
- Able to communicate well in English (written and verbal)
- Excellent written skills
- Negotiation skills
- Professional skepticism
- Ability to work independently
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills
- Chartered Accountant (or equivalent), Certified Internal Auditor
Experience/Education:
- Bachelor's degree or greater (Accounting, Finance, Economics, or other business degree),
- 3-5 years of experience in an auditing or similar environment.
