职位描述
. We are in need for of a Communications manager responsible for driving and developing the social media efforts throughout GMIO. The position will implement social media plans/activities for GMIO campaigns and announcements by developing strategy and materials. In addition, he/she will consult with country units to provide counsel and materials to support the countries initiatives. The manager will also support the Director of Corporate/Product Communications on standard corporate related issues as well.
. Develop and maintain a deep understanding of the global social media landscape and emerging technologies.
. Develop strategic approach to social media efforts that extends throughout IO
. Share that information with countries and GMIO
. Train and mentor country social media managers in working with social media and tactics to reach them
. Continuously liaison with social media managers in country units and North America
. Manage event-based social media programs and conferences involving GMIO as required
. Create and lead the implementation of innovative multimedia public relations campaigns to support GMIO product and corporate communications
. Support GMIO executives with materials and during interviews
. Act as Company Spokesperson as required
. Work to develop a virtual social media team that is fully self sustainable and has a succession plan for each manager.
Knowledge:
. Understanding of social media sites and tools
. How to use social media tools
. Media Relations practices and protocols
. Online publishing and editing skills
Skills:
. Excellent project management and "virtual " team leadership skills
. Able to write and edit well in a give tone of voice.
. Experience in working with multi-countries and in cross-culture environment
. Able to work cross-functionally
. Able to learn new tasks, technology skills to support the work
. Creativity, ability to brainstorm creative ways to use social media tools to publicize GM news
Experience/Education:
. Bachelor degree or equivalent with emphasis on business strategy, planning and communications ie. Media, Public Relations, Marketing, Journalism, Commerce, Law
. Experience in Corporate Affairs, public relations, social media or related field
. Proven communications skills and social media experience
. Proven ability to create and implement multi-faceted communications campaigns
. Proven record of managing media and promotional events
. Proven ability to handle live media interviews and related media interfaces
