Our client is a leading European manufacturing company in the power control and power transmission applications industry, providing specific solutions for industrial applications and automation and mobile equipment. With six production plants worldwide, the company generates approximately EUR 330 million in 2008 with more than 1,700 employees around
the globe.
The company's branch office in Shanghai is a wholly foreign owned company. This company is currently looking for a Sales Director who will be the key enforcer for its China commercial activities and leading the sales team for the BU of Mobile and Wind Solution.
B) RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Responsible of sales budget of the BU
2. Manage directly the key customers nationwide
3. Drive sales force and provide tools to be successful. Provide targets and check regular activity and performances of the team
4. Run the sales network in order to be agressive in the market and create conditions for the team to perform on an independent basis
5. Design sales proposals & provide guidance for the team accordingly in order to execute proposals successfully
6. Responsible for the business development of mobile and windmill solutions in China.
7. Ensure customers fully understand the importance of "supply chain".
8. Ability to lead and drive DSC to provide complete service with hydraulic solutions, and highlight the new solutions/products/technologies for customers
9. Communicate effectively with HQ on all possibilities for new sectors/products available in the market
10. Provide marketing and communication guidelines to explore and analyze all the strengths & weaknesses of our solutions.
11. Map competitors and implement strategies to lead the company in the right direction
12. Possess strong negociation skills & provide excellent customer service to the senior management of local key accounts
C) WORK RELATION & PLACE
· Report to: Country Manager
· Location of work base will be Shanghai
D) POSITION REQUIREMENT AND SKILLS
· Bachelor of Engineering Degree, or above (preferable in mechanical engineering, mechanical engineering or comparable engineering discipline), MBA will be a plus
· Above 8 years of relevant work experience in sales including at least 3 years as a Sales Manager
· Proven ability in sales
· Network of contacts in the industry
· Strategic mindset
· Budgeting and reporting capability
· Strong leadership skills
· Excellent interpersonal and communication skill
· Strong sense of responsibility
· Fluent English in both oral & writing
· Proven ability in managing a sales team in a B-to-B environment nationwide, with preference of profile coming from the Mobile business (tier-2 suppliers)
· Seniority, ability to create and maintain a network of relationship at a high level in the reference industry (relationship with CEO and decision-makers)
· Understanding of economics, financial indicators, and logistic-planning issues
