We are seeking an exceptional business development manager to help us build out the Spark platform. He/she will work with the director of business development for Spark and will fulfill a critical role within the Autodesk Consumer Group to drive success for Spark. She/he will be focused on developing the partner network in China and own all aspects of partner management to deliver on the adoption of Spark within the region. A good technical background combined with substantial business acumen will be needed to enable this individual to have the appropriate conversations and drive to the needed agreements with a wide variety of Spark adopters. The candidate for this role requires very strong cross-functional management skills as well as people management.
Success in this role is measured by "Spark platform adoption in China" which relates to the number of companies who license or otherwise build on the platform.
In addition to the business development, this role also needs to lead/support the marketing activity of Spark in China.
Primary responsibilities include:
? Partner management for the Spark platform including hardware manufacturers, design software vendors, materials companies, 3DP service providers, OS providers, Product Designers (including brands), and online retailers.
? Develop strategic alliances with key partners to prove out the Spark platform and establish beach heads for developing broader eco-system of partners
? Taking the lead on pre-sales opportunity assessment for Product Designers (including brands) and online retailers.
? Engage in industry outreach to evangelize Spark and continues networking with the broad range of partners in the industry (various events, conferences, etc.).
? Partner sourcing and evaluation and working with the product teams on assessment criteria.
? Working with field marketing on "sales" materials, flying solo without product or development backup and circling back with qualitative and quantitative feedback.
? Partner "negotiations" and working with Legal and product teams to establish the partnerships.
? Build and maintain collaborative working relationships with ACG functional groups, project teams and other stakeholders to effectively resolve issues and remove barriers to Spark’s success.
Requirements:
? Minimum 6+ Years experience and MBA or technical masters degree
? Proven experience in building out a developer/partner network for a platform business
o Strongly preferred knowledge of web development, API strategy, and platform businesses. For example Android, Evernote, LinkedIn, etc.
o Experience in software industry and understanding of the manufacturing space, 3D printing technology and industry is a plus
? Proven Business development and partner management skills
? Strong cross-functional leader with experience to bridge between business/legal issues, product/development considerations, and sales team needs.
? Great judgment and excellent analytical problem solving skills
? Strong influencing skills, comfortable driving timely decisions among multiple stakeholders
? Strong communicator with excellent verbal, written and presentation skills.
? Knowledge of Autodesk Consumer Group applications, services and communities is a plus
? Ability to comfortably work in a fast paced and event driven environment
