As the successful applicant, you will join the Analytical Innovation research team and be responsible for the volatile and non-volatile analysis of various food products, with work including sample preparation, GC/MS and HPLC analysis. Data capture in Excel sheets is also required.
Job Responsibility
? Sample preparation for volatile and non-volatile analysis using various techniques.
? Acquire reliable analytical data by GC/MS or HPLC.
? Process experimental GC/MS and HPLC data using expert software.
? Preparation of calibration solutions prior to instrumental analysis and accurate quantitative analysis.
? Data capture in Excel sheets.
? Keep proper and timely records of experimental information.
? Contribute to the enhancement of existing experimental procedures.
? Perform some other related tasks to support the Analytical Innovation research team.
Profile
? Fresh university or college graduate students, with Bachelor degree or below.
? Majored in chemistry, pharmacy or other natural products related disciplines.
? Basic knowledge of analytical chemistry is required.
? Some experience of GC, GC/MS, HPLC and sample preparation is preferred.
? Some experience of laboratory work is preferred.
? Passion for instrumental analysis is preferred.
? Interest in smelling and tasting samples is an asset.
? Basic skills with Excel are required.
? High attention to detail, great reliability when following pre-established procedures.
? Good planning skills and high work efficiency.
? Basic knowledge of English.
? Good communication, team player.
