United States Pharmacopeia Job Title: HR Manager

Job Description Reports to: Director, Human Resources

Function of the Position:

This professional position is responsible for providing HR Generalist support to managers and all levels of employees within the organization. To deliver high quality, standardized HR policies and programs across a range of HR functions to enable managers and employees deliver high productivity and actualize business strategy.

Roles and Responsibilities:

· Takes lead in the delivery of global HR initiatives, critical processes and programs. This includes support for areas like Talent Acquisition, Compensation & Benefit, Performance Management, Learning & Development, and HRIS.

· Drives effective execution to ensure HR related polices, guidelines and procedures are clearly understood and utilized. Conducts periodic review to ensure compliant and updated version implemented.

· Partners with China Leadership and drives USP-China to be an inspiring place to work by enhancing employee engagement.

· Manages the recruitment process to align with the recruitment plan and ensures qualified selection. Maximizes cost-effective recruiting strategies.

· Manages employees’ onboarding, transferring, termination and related processes, partners with managers to ensure proper resources are placed and/or leveraged.

· Develops and administers Compensation and Benefit programs that reward employees for achieving individual, team and organizational goals. Works with outsourced vendor to conduct monthly payroll process.

· Organizes and manages documentation, database, records and files to comply with PRC law, regulated requirement and/or USP policies/SOPs.

· Acts as a liaison and facilitates communication with HR counter parts in USP headquarters on responsible areas.

· Other related duties as assigned.

· HR counterparts in headquarter and International Sites

Minimum Requirements:

A bachelor’s and/or Master degree (preferred) with no less than 8 years of human resources experiences, at least 2 years in managerial position. Major in Human Resources or Business Management related fields is preferred.

KSAs and Training and Experience:

· Excellent interpersonal communication skills and sensitivity awareness.

· Takes initiatives to deal with potential issues and provide solutions proactively

· Ability to manage multiple priorities independently and effectively.

· High level of proficiency with computer applications, including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook), ability to learn new systems/applications.

· Detail-oriented and passion for quality.

· Able to maintain a high level of confidentiality, professionally handle/process sensitive information.

· Solid knowledge of China labor law and human resources related regulations.

· Effective writing and speaking skills in English and Chinese.
