Requirements:

Professional skills
- Bachelor degree in electrical & electronic engineering. Master degree in Electronic & Electrical Engineering would be an advantage.
- Additional Mechanical academic qualification or experience would be an advantage.
- Minimum 10 years working experience in Electronic & Electrical industry. R&D background is preferred.
- Significant experience & a track record of success in Development and/or Procurement preferred.
- Oversea experience is preferred.
- Good commodity knowledge.
- Good Mandarin & English language skills.

Job Description:

Target:

- Utilizing global leverage of the company, manage strategic commodities globally with good internal/external partners' relationship to achieve best value in competitive costs, improved reliability, improved service & improved technical capabilities.

Task & responsibilities:

- Fully responsible for assigned strategic commodity groups.

- Lead & manage sourcing activities.

- Select, qualify, develop, manage & maintain good long term strategic partnership relations with suppliers.

- Performance evaluation of suppliers.

- Define & implement sourcing strategies in line with group targets & production units' needs.

- Co-ordinates cross-functional relationship (Procurement & Product development) to develop robust supply chain with materials & processes that improves reliability, manufacturing ability, product integrity & total cost.

- Actively participate in the project management of new products from sourcing perspectives.

- Work, develop & strategize with suppliers in productivity improvements leading to cost reductions.

- Support R&D & Procurement in all areas including technical advice, quality, supply shortage & operational issues.

- Deep understanding of related market, keep track & update market conditions, technology evolution, price trend & supply trend.

- Identification & implementation of total cost of ownership reduction opportunities.

- Explore & identify the development of contingency plans for main & alternate sources.

- Lead & negotiate terms, conditions & prices of all supplier related agreements & contracts.

- Lead assigned team to evaluate & release suppliers & materials.
