Essential Requirements
·Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering
·5 years related experience in product development.
·Proficient with mechanical CAD software such as ProE, AutoCAD and CorelDRAW
·Familiar with plastics and metal molds, aluminum alloy tension and surface treatment;
·Good in Office and other related software;
·Demonstrated ability to work in a cross-functional team
·Have communication, presentation and written skills in English as well as an ability to sell and promote ideas across the organization.

职位概述
Job Description / Responsibilities
Work with internal and external Industrial Design engineers and customers in achieving proper ergonomic and aesthetic designs for Cisco STBs. Verify and execute thermal simulation solution by using the appropriate simulation tool. Once the external look and finish is decided, optimize the design for cost and reliability. The STB Mechanical engineers also have the task of working very closely with the Power supply designers, hardware design engineers and lay-out designers in optimizing placement of components from a thermal distribution and dissipation view. Work with the HW designers and customers in proper placement of connectors etc. Design the external packaging based on Cisco and customer specifications and design pallets for shipping large quantity of the STBs. Work with manufacturing on the tooling design, process/quality control and control cost. Cooperate on completing the EMC and safety/compliance testing, Apply BOM number for the components, provide components specifications.
