Requirements & Qualification

1.Minimum 10 years’ experience working in information technology with a minimum 5 years in software development.
2.Minimum 3 years managerial or leadership experience with managing staff members in China
3.Excellent English and Chinese Language oral and written communication skills are must
4.Degree in technology related field
5.Strong technical skills with the ability to understand complex concepts and systems
6.Well-organized and good at prioritizing tasks
7.Creative thinker with desire to communicate and contribute
8.Experience with agile development preferred
9.Experience in logistics industry preferred
10.Occasional international travel required

Job Description

1.Operations oversight – Oversee the efficiency and execution of the Asia development team. Manage the allocation of resources across all tasks of the team. Ensure the efficiency of resources, team structure and planning. Provide team and system reporting and ensure systems are meeting technical and availability standards. Keep the team informed of global initiatives. Provide team escalation resolution. Identify areas for improvement for the team and systems and drive change within the team. Ensure compliance with all operational key performance indicators.
2.Personnel development - Recruit, coach, motivate, and develop the team members in their current role and toward their continued contribution to CH Robinson. Establish and monitor objectives, perform reviews and align team members to promote opportunities to expand skills and grow IT talent.
3.IT functional/team strategy – Leverage global IT best practices and process frameworks to drive continual process improvement for our Asia development team. Align team goals to global IT organizational goals, ensure cross-team alignment and awareness.
4.Cross-IT strategy/BL strategy: Partner with Global Development leadership on execution of global development strategy and initiatives. Partner with Asia Service Desk and Infrastructure leadership to achieve availability and service goals. Represent the needs of Asia IT and business to global IT planning and execution. Understand the business structure and functions of the CH Robinson user base across all Service lines
