JOB SUMMARY: Perform complex quoting and negotiation of the Electronic commodities using a mainframe MRP system, leveraging your knowledge of Global Markets; including, but not limited to Asia/China and India Electronic Manufacturers, as well as the Global Distribution Market, to support best overall material cost. Prepares and analyzes quotes, reports and supports project management on existing and new products.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS (Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions)

? Prepare requests for quotation, review supplier quotes, and negotiate best total material cost in the first quote to the customer.
? Identify sources of supply, including Second Tier/Independent supplier of Electronic Components in Global Markets.
? Identify favorable PPV opportunities, and communicate them to management in timely manner and/or in the quote reviews.
? Interface within a cross functional team, regularly meeting with Quality, Engineering, Commodity, Program Managers and suppliers to resolve any issues
? Organize customer quotes and effectively communicate daily to appropriate departments and individuals.
? Participate in quote reviews with Key Tronic management
? Establish and maintain good working relationships with existing suppliers
? Must be proficient in Excel and documentation interpretation
? Compiles data and prepares reports as requested and required by management
? Communicate system and process improvement needs to Material Costing Sr. Manager, to optimize quoting process


SUPERVISION GIVEN/RECEIVED

Currently, this position has no formal reports. This position reports directly to the Material Costing Sr. Manager.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

? Broad knowledge of Electronic components including product costing, product performance, and sources of supply.
? Fluency in Mandarin
? Strong negotiating skills required.
? Bachelor’s Degree in Business or Engineering
? Six-plus years of experience in Global commodity management, purchasing, or supply management
? Multiple years experience utilizing MRP system with a deep knowledge of its systems
? Equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered
? Demonstrated organizational skills, with the ability to handle and prioritize multiple projects (multiple hats) simultaneously in a timely manner in a fast-paced environment
? Sound written and oral communication skills; must be able to write and understand routine reports, follow oral and written instructions, and speak effectively
? Must have knowledge of use and operation of standard office equipment, and be familiar with commonly used email, Internet, word processing, databases and spreadsheets
? Must have a high level of interpersonal skills to handle sensitive and confidential situations and materials. Position continually requires demonstrated poise, tact and diplomacy

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

? Eight-plus years of experience in management of Electronic Commodities, purchasing, or supply management, with strong knowledge of MRP systems.
? Electronic Engineering background
? CPIM, CPM, or other related certification
? Experience in Global Contract Manufacturing and EMS industry, with an emphasis in supporting an off-shore manufacturing facility, as well as, multiple North American facilities.

POSITION LOCATION
? Ideal candidate will reside in Shanghai. Consideration will be made for well qualified candidate living in Shen Zhen area
