Objectives:



• Act as business partner for providing economical analysis



• Monitor KPIs, to ensure continuous improvement in operations and service to customers



• Collaboration with counterparts in internal and external parities and keep the working net with high efficiency and accuracy







Main Tasks:







Planning & Performance Management



Operational Planning: Work with Business Unit for Business Unit specified fixed Manufacture cost planning and gap analysis; Support plant for Product cost planning; Support site MBU cost planning

Reporting & Communication: Support month-end & year-end closing and work with site units and BASF service platform and service center; Prepare monthly production reports for related BU plant and site management report and make analysis; Collect fire fighting actual cost information, prepare yearly budget and make annual adjustment; Develop working relationships with the local company, Business Unit and Shared Service Center in BCH and BASC to ensure the cost center accounting, product costing and material ledger are adopted, implemented and maintained properly; Collaboration with counterparts in local company, business units, SSC in BASF and service suppliers or providers in Shanghai Chemical Industry Park
Business Analysis



Perform analytical review and business analysis on all matters regarding cost center accounting, product costing, material ledger and profit analysis (including budgeting, cost deviation, royalty, main raw material cost analysis, Business Unit specified contracts implementation) and make improvement accordingly

Analyse the cost difference between bonded and non-bonded and track the inventory movement in two plants and work together with other departments and plant to minimize the tax cost
Governance & Compliance



Policies & Procedures: Enforce finance policies and procedures

Internal Control Effectiveness: Monitor effectiveness of internal control policies; Monitor Inter-company Transfer Price compliance

Audit: Support external audit for fire fighting service, KPMG audit. Follow up the fire fighting service fee result with service receivers; Support internal audit and follow up actions

Risk Management: Support site controller/Business Unit for Business Unit risk identification

Interface Management
Groupwide Projects & Initiatives



Coordinate BASF projects roll-out in site (e.g. Finopex, OPEX, etc.)

Integrate new Business Unit requirement during project phase and operating phase into daily activities
Systems and Tools



Develop, monitor and update controlling systems and tools; Support new business module roll-out in SAP due to investments




Organizational Interface Management



Participate finance and controlling community activities; Work closely with other team members
Training/Education/Support



Support new and existing team members through proper knowledge transfer; sharing of resource, knowledge and experience and best practice

Assist line mangers on other assignment








Requirements:



Bachelor degree or above, major in Economics or Chemistry

More than 5 years’ experience in internal manufacturing company with at least 3 years’ experience in cost plan and control

Knowledge of cost accounting. Multi-Business Units site working experience is preferred.

Good communication skills and willing to take challenges
