A brief statement indicating the basic purpose of the position

PSRA China team is responsible for various global system local implementations in APAC region. E.g. GSLO for chemical mgt., including RM and final product, SAP EHS for product / raw material safety evaluation, SDS generation and distribution, APAC label DB for product safety labels, PS1 website (Product Safety First) for product safety information communication with public and customers. These tasks required strong project coordination and IT support through Shanghai team to the whole APAC region. Previously, those supports are gained from global PSRA community mainly and they are transferring to Shanghai team step by step. This new position is established to fulfil the increasing workload and missing skills in Shanghai team due to these global tasks transfer.


Major tasks:

? Responsible for product evaluation, incl. GHS classification, DG classification for new APAC developed products
? Coordination on APAC Safety KPI reporting, provide training to APAC country care takers.
? Create Chinese label according to BMS and China legal requirements and support on all related questions/issues from internal and external parties.
? Responsible for LEXSY implementation in APAC and provide trainings to APAC related colleagues
? Provide support on answering product related questions from customs in China based on chemical knowledge
? Chinese SDS correction and releasing in SAP EHS, Provide training to APAC users

The main objectives of this function:
Contribute to the business operation by providing SDS and product safety labels to customer.
Contribute to the company legal compliance via monitoring chemical related regulations
Contribute to company RC and PS initiative by providing customer product safety instructions and onsite trainings

Work relations:

Internal Contact, Nature & Purpose
? R&D staff at PRDC or plants and sites in APAC – Exchange of expertise on chemicals, e.g. product safety information, product properties, etc.
?HSEQ-staff at plants and sites in APAC - Joined efforts to build up and maintain product stewardship program on BMS products
? BMS BU’s Regional Product Management, Operations and Marketing units - Exchange of expertise and CAS&PUR strategic ecological alignments. Provide guidance on global core process implementation
? BMS-PSRA global community - Exchange of product safety information. Exchange of expertise and BMS ecological alignments with global strategies; Communicate on global PS processes for their local execution
? SCC LOG and Customs and Trade - Exchange of product safety information and related legal requirements

External Contact, Nature & Purpose
? Promote legal compliance awareness in China


Qualifications:

? Master degree or above with major in chemistry.
? At least 1-2 years’ experience in toxicology and/or ecotoxicology
? More than 3 years Working experience in Health, Safety, Environmental Management
? Expertise in GHS classification and labelling is as must
? Experience in the BAYER organization is preferred
? Flexible thinking skills to understand quickly complex topics
? Communication skills to ensure that regulations and requirements are understood
? Chinese, Mandarin, and good English knowledge
