Which will be your main tasks?

· Steering of sourcing relevant activities within project

· Comparison of offers, supplier selection/evaluation

· Generating concepts for stabilization, steering and securing of supplier quality, amounts and punctuality of deliveries

· Evaluation and transfer of technical documents (drawings, specification book)

· Information procurement (prices, suppliers, logistics costs etc.) under consideration of economical delivery lot sizes and logistic complexity

· Execution of requests for proposal and evaluation of offers within the frame of technical and economical aims

· Conduct negotiations regarding price, delivery dates and conditions within an aligned financial frame as well as contract closing

· Development of decision basis for award of contract in the sourcing table

· Permanent alignment of capacity and schedule within the supply chain

· Communication with international customers and suppliers

· Execution resp. care of value analyses

· Take care of design to cost and target costing for new projects

· Project reporting regarding budget compliance, target costing, schedules and quality for purchasing volumes

Which qualifications are required?

We expect a comprehensive education in business and technics e.g. industrial engineer or technical business economist as well as working experience in purchasing in an industrial company. You possess skills in the areas of purchasing negotiations, contract law, costing and risk management. The mastery of common MS Office programs and good SAP skills are a further important precondition. Written and spoken business fluent English is a must due to the international orientation of the task. Furthermore Spanish language skills, preferably attained in Mexico, are a plus.

A distinct strength in communication, strong cost awareness and an analytical approach are important preconditions for a successful execution of the advertised job. In addition to that you possess high intercultural understanding, because the position includes longer stays in Mexico. If you furthermore like to negotiate, hold assertiveness and habitually approach tasks targeted, practiced and autonomously, then you have the ideal requirements for this demanding position.
