Mission:
To manage the support for Novecare industrial site QC departments in Asia Pacific to ensure that the QC labs are fit for purpose to support the Novecare strategic goals and are in line with global Novecare and corporate initiatives and best practice. To pro-actively look for opportunities to add value and improve the profitability of the sites & business.

Vacancy description:
? To provide direct support to the QC Labs at all Novecare sites in Asia Pacific so that they can achieve their targets and support for initiatives ( eg ME, Diamond, Diamond +, RFT, 6 sigma & TTs). Support integration & set up of new QC labs.
? To coordinate with the QC support activities of the EU/SA & NA QC Support managers. Issue a quarterly report.
? Maintain a AP QC support plan and follow through actions.
? Promote and support development of best practice; validation, standardisation, autocontrole, reduced testing, use of statistics etc
? Assess site QC capability and advise senior managers on improvements; provide or procure training as required.
? To carry out safety audits of all Novecare AP QC labs at least annually and to follow up on actions.

Profile:
? Master or PhD degree in Physical Chemistry or Analytical Chemistry. Extensive analytical experience in method development or QC, with a broad knowledge of the analytical techniques used in Novecare & an acknowledged expert in at least one area, i.e. LC, GC, IR or NMR.
? A broad understanding of the chemistry in Novecare is preferred though not essential, ie ethoxylation, amphoterics or phosphorus chemistry.
? Must have experience of method validation.
? 6 sigma (minimum Green Belt)
? Bi-lingual
? Computer literate with knowledge of Laboratory information management systems, RCS and statistical packages.
? Self motivated, independent, flexible and pragmatic.
? Must be a change agent; able to identify and make changes and share best practices and drive best practices
? Able to work with various levels of management - plant; technical managers; PD; R&I and industrial teams
