Personnel managed: No. But will influence big number of suppliers.


Purpose/Key Responsibilities:
? Manage and guide Lean projects within supplier factories and Liaison Offices, measure progress, review and critique results with participants; document and evaluate Lean status and progress, and report to divisional management.
? Organize & facilitate Lean training courses at factories and Liaison Offices.
? Work with external consultants to share Lean manufacturing & 6 Sigma best practices

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

? Manage and guide specific Lean projects within supplier factories and LO function.
? Coordinate Lean Programs to complement sourcing objectives and goals.
? Training and mentor-ship to Factories and LO's on Lean Tools and specific project requirements.
? Baseline and Measure progress, review and critique results with participants.
? Record Lean Status monthly and use Rating Criteria or comparable Criteria as the benchmarking tool for the factories in the responsible scope.
? Document (measurements, digital imagery) best practice and communicate it to the team and build in the CI body of knowledge.
? Standardization / Kaizen project transfer & benchmarking Standardize methods used and deploy universally throughout factory and region.
? Provide training periodically, and exhibit outstanding knowledge in Training situations.
? Identify best practices and lean disciplines in each of the key manufacturing areas
? Monitor measurable monthly and identify factories/personnel having trouble with the implementation. Identify factory needs and assemble team or resources to support the Lean transformation
? Check eroom figures monthly ( logical, plausible, calculation basis ) and, if necessary get in contact with the factories to adjust and/or update
? Communicate progress to Costing Heads for future adjustments to current benchmarks.
? Develop new factory tools to aid in Lean Deployment
? Able to travel frequently throughout China & South East Asia (Indonesia, Philippines, Vietnam, Cambodia & Thailand)



Requisite Education/Experience:

? University degree in Business, Engineering or related field.
? Knowledge and adequate training in Lean Manufacturing and 6 Sigma tools
? Minimum 3 years of experience in Lean implementation in the field or equivalent industry experience.
? Experience as trainer or consultant of Lean and Continuous Improvement
? Working experience in multi-national company or with sporting goods industry
? Working experience with remote factories and as consultant is a plus
? Lean Expert or Black Belt certification by renowned organization is a plus
? Fluent English skills verbally and in writing, other foreign language competency is a plus, Mandarin Chinese, Cantonese Chinese, Thai, Bahasa-Indonesian, Vietnamese, and other particular interest.
? Computer competency in: Microsoft word, excel, power point, visio are essential.
