职位描述

Official Title: Associate Marketing Manager- Asia Pacific Region
Location: Shanghai Xinzhuang (shuttle bus provided)


Purpose of the position:

Support in marketing function for the Asia Pacific Region. Help to grow profitable business in region.



Responsibility:

-Strategic Pricing Management:

Pricing management for all the products and cover the whole regions, including GKA Support;

Price Increase Implementation based on both raw material fluctuation and markets needs. High level forecasting on segment and product at region level: ensure pricing up to date and meet top down plan.

Develop regional pricing list which can well meet profitable targets and sales needs, especially when Boost China project is on.

-Work with marketing manager to drive proactive marketing communications for the regions (e.g. trade events, TODs, ads, sponsorship, promotional items)

Help marketing manager to maintain budget and identify best way to communicate in various countries in Asia region.

Able to take the initiatives to lead and organize marketing events and activities and other promotion ways to support business growth purpose.

Keep good following up and summary of various marcom ways for improvements for the next period.

-Distributor commercial management support.

Work with sales team for target setting and regular review of distributors' performance.

Help to evaluate distributors' performance and potential.

Support to arrange distributor training and marketing activities which help distributors grow and develop.

-Marketing Intelligence

Good command of website tool like Mintel and Euromonitor search etc.for marketing trends, new products and market updates to share with sales and related team.

Collect market information incl. Industries, customers and competitors etc.

Personal care website ownership for Chinese version

-New Product Support for leave-on, rinse-off and actives:

New product pricing, documentation and track sales for new products etc.

Keep close relationship with related person in global marketing team and act as a bridge for effective communication for the region.

Support to grow core product portfolio

-Innovation Management for regional projects - support all projects in the system with marketing concept, intended selling price and market potential.

-Miscellaneous coordination and commercial support for other Asian Countries (SEA, Japan, Korea, India, etc.)


Requirements:
Basic knowledge of Chemistry is needed.

Specific skills in negotiation, pricing policies, innovation processes (i.e. Stage-Gate Systems), basic market research for raw material suppliers are helpful.
Work mostly with the Sales & Marketing team (also Product Management) and R&D, with main focus on the customer. Need to have good ability to sense needs of the customer and translate that into solutions that work for both Evonik and the Customer.

Fairly high level of autonomy. The position is a mix of all levels from gathering information to decision maker - depending on the topic, the financial risk involved etc.

Good interpersonal skills, with ability to drive performance. Because there is need to communicate with customers, diplomacy is required.

Need to be able to identify trends and communicate how Evonik products can meet those needs.

Capability to make judgment and Innovative Thinking.


Mini Education level: Bachelor
Major preferred: Chemistry or MBA
Language skills: English Very Good
Minimum years in employment: At least 5 years in marketing or related functions

Preferred industry experience: Personal Care, life science or other business in chemical.
