HAY APAC develops, produces and sales design furniture's and accessories, HAY's Asian office and distribution centre is located in Shanghai. The buying team buy product from Asia and Europe for HAY and secure delivery to HAY distribution center in Shanghai.

Responsibilities:

You need to help to make the company even more competitive by purchasing strategic to our new distribution center, you need to build even closer relationships with key suppliers.

Internally you need to create dynamics between sales and purchases. You must help to build strategy around procurement in China and Europe. You need to be a part of an effective and efficient procurement function, where the focus is on product flow, quality and delivery.

Your personal profile:

You must be a part of new dedicated team building up distribution and buying function for HAY in Asia. At the personal level, you are a person with energy, dynamic, and you are able to remain calm, and in control in stressful situations. You are organized and hardworking; you can manage several tasks at the same time, you like a busy and hectic environment.

What we expect from you?

We expect you to have the experience in buying - preferably in a contract manufacturer company with international relations. You are fluent in English and mandarin to a high level, and educationally, you have probably a technical / engineering background, perhaps, supplemented with a mercantile business experience from furniture or buying functions related to a warehouse. You have results - where there has been a focus on high product quality, stable delivery and structured supplier management. Efficiency and securing delivers are key task you will be working with.
