Position Description:

To proactively handle all aspects of the customers' product sourcing, product development, sampling and bulk production business that they channel through Quiksilver (Asia) Sourcing Ltd, and for which China and off-shore production is involved. Also to provide a co-ordinating role in fabrics and trims orders that facilitates product sourcing, development and bulk production.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Keep customers updated with the latest industry and market trends. Source and submit swatches, sketches, pictures, samples, concepts, etc to customers for consideration and development.

2. Pursue and receive from customers all fabric and product details. Assist in factory / style allocation and follow up with factories.

3. Follow up all aspects of product development including fabrics, lab-dips, trims, embroideries and screen printings.

4. Co-ordinate and expedite both prototypes and samples to ensure correct and complete prototypes, salesmen samples, production-concerned samples and shipment samples are delivered on-time and to the right places.

5. Communicate and liaise with customers, sources and factories to ensure timely and accurate answers are provided for all requests on product sourcing, product development, sampling and bulk production.

6. Pursue and receive all Purchase Orders / Sales Contracts from customers correctly and on-time. Prepare Purchase Orders / Sales Contracts to factories correctly and on-time.

7. Liaise and co-ordinate with Quality Control / Assurance Department to ensure all issues relating to factory capacity, capability and credibility are addressed to enable delivery of a market-acceptable product that secures the group / company's image.

8. Negotiate costs and prices with customers, sources and factories to ensure attainment of both the required profit margin for Quiksilver (Asia) Sourcing Ltd and the customers' realistic target prices, yet securing the product / product range integrity and quality.

9. Ensure all deliveries of bulk production goods are correct, complete and on-time.

10. Monitor and update QASWEB and the customer intranets to generate correct and updated data for information exchange within the group.

11. Monitor the tidiness of the sample / display area / room to facilitate smooth presentations.

12. Work closely with the division / team and other divisions within the group / company.

13. Other duties as required from time to time to ensure overall effectiveness, efficiency and accuracy of the group / company / division / team.

Skills / Requirements:

1. Colleage graduate or above. Grade 6 or above in English Test and good Mathematics.

2. 3 years or above merchandising experience in Bags, Luggage, Wallets, Caps and Hats, Beanies, Scarves, Gloves, Belts, Footwear, Jewelries and / or sundries, preferably in big brand names.

3. Proficiency in PC applications.

4. Good command in English, Chinese and Putonghua.

5. Hard-working, accurate, organized, willing to learn and work under pressure, team-oriented and capable to monitor and update database; occasional trips outside the office, to Mainland China or overseas are required
