JOB SUMMARY:

A Senior Interpreter (Copy Editor) does copy and substantive editing of a variety of contents by translating content on Investopedia US into Chinese. They are responsible for making Investopedia China content error-free and proofing and publishing numerous pieces of contents daily. As well, they also contribute content ideas to the site and can assist in the creation of new content types and newsletters.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES:

? Edit, proof and post stock analysis articles, timeless and timely educational pieces, dictionary terms and more

? Research and create content ideas for the site based on feedback from audience development and other editors

? Provide feedback and criticism to share with writers

? Create and proofread newsletters

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:

? Proficiency in English
? Proven writing and copyediting skills
? Excellent written and verbal communication
? Attention to detail
? Understanding of Associated Press style
? Strong Internet and computer skills
? Proficient in Microsoft Suite (Word, Outlook, Excel)
? Strong research skills and critical thinking
? Problem solving, and the ability to prioritize multiple tasks
? Team work and group communication

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

? Degree in English, Communications, Professional Writing or Journalism
? 3-5 years of experience in English translation
? Minimum of one year experience as an editor, copy editor or proofreader
? Experience using online publishing and a content management system
