Title: Managing Director – Services
Introduction:
This position is the primary leader for Enterprise Data Managed Services (EDMS) responsible for the entire line of business in China that serves all entities in China.
The Business Director is responsible for leading a team of sales specialists and delivery experts to achieve assigned targets for EDMS. The role is a combination of management, selling, coaching and leadership activities, with the objective of enabling the sales team to meet the sales targets assigned to them, develop and elevate competencies, and ensure a high level of customer satisfaction on services delivered.
The Business Director works with Country and regional leadership and decision makers to enable the sales strategy which will deliver the strategic objectives for the Group and line of business. The incumbent will work and engage closely with the regional HQ team to execute strategies that will enable the EDMS growth plan, shape the sales culture through lighthouse wins, sharing best practices, developing and sustaining cross functional relationships and establishing focused industry partnerships.
Key Responsibilities:
· 1. Drive penetration of portfolio of Regional Managed Services solutions and ICT services to achieve a high share-of-wallet in targeted accounts.
· 2. Understand customer’s businesses, and identify influencers and decision makers within a customer organization. Focus on identifying customer’s business challenges and developing strong value propositions to help customers meet their business objectives through ICT solution sales.
· 3. Conduct high impact sales presentations and lead sales proposal, working closely with Account Mangers when needed.
· 4. Provide executive level engagement to key clients or prospects to advance the sales process as required.
· 5. Engage effectively with all levels across a customer’s organization to include all C-level executives, negotiate with customers and effectively close business deals.
· 6. Ensure excellent Customer Satisfaction levels with every Customer engagement.
· 7. Ensure operational service gaps are corrected in a timely manner, acceptable to the business.
· 8. Ensure regularly achievement of assigned revenue and profit targets through strong business management system and process.
· 9. Lead and engage regional HQ Competencies Tower to establish necessary competencies and capabilities to support growth plan.
· 10. Oversee account assignment and target assignment for team members
· 11. Ensure team members maintain accurate and complete records of the opportunities and pipeline, and accurately forecast the business on a regular basis.
· 12. Attract, Engage, Develop, and Retain a high-performing team of sales and delivery professionals.
· 13. Drives a dual-path sales strategy of partner-driven and sales-driven opportunity generation.
· 14. Ensure strong engagements with key strategic vendor and industry partners.
· 15. Serves as a change agent; lead and support the organizational transformation objectives.
Key Requirements:
· 1. Minimum 12 years of proven sales, business development or account management track record in the Telecommunications or IT industry for IT infrastructure & services sales.
· 2. Technical knowledge in the areas of unified communications, networking and/or security is added advantage
· 3. High degree of self-motivation, strong commitment and result oriented.
· 4. Dedicated & excellent team player with excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to read and write Chinese language preferred.
· 5. To be an independent and resourceful team player with a genuine enthusiasm for providing excellent support to internal and external customers.
· 6. Multinational and international sales experience preferred
· 7. Proven track record of leading sales teams in achieving and surpassing sales targets in relevant business areas.
· 8. Direct experience collaborating with key partners is highly preferred.
· 9. Strategic account planning: methods, change management, opportunity development.
· 10. Excellent coaching and leadership skills
