QUALITY ENGINEER

SUMMARY

The primary result expected from the Quality Engineer will be identifying testing methods and samples. The Quality Engineer will monitor materials and supplies, resolve assembly problems, participate in our quality control process and complete preventative maintenance requirements. The Quality Engineer must communicate with co-workers and supervisors to resolve process and product problems and accurately record production information.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Develop, apply, maintain quality requirements and standards for development and manufacturing products.
2. Serve as the primary Quality Assurance resource to department supervisor(s) for problem identification, resolution, loss reporting and continuous improvement.
3. Support concurrent engineering efforts by participating in design development projects representing Quality Assurance and the customer.
4. Design and implement methods for process control, process improvement, testing and inspection.
5. Promote and execute quality standards, inspection processes, test methodology, quality plans, documents and reports.
6. Assist in process certification.
7. Review customers purchase orders, contracts and change requests and ensure that the necessary criteria and provisions are included in quality and process plans.
8. Develop, execute and analyze quality-reporting measures.
9. Report to management on quality issues, trends and losses.
10. Review suppliers purchase orders and establish supplier quality requirements.
11. Participate in internal and external quality audits.
12. Interface with supplier and customer quality representatives concerning problems with quality assurance and assure that effective corrective action is implemented.
13. Serve as the Quality Assurance representative to New Product Development Department.

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Communicating with Management, Supervisors, peers or subordinates: providing information in written form or oral presentation.
2. Will be required to perform other duties as requested, directed or assigned.
