Qualification Engineer:

Requirements & Accountabilities:

Working Experience in PC Hard disk area is must.
3years or above Hard disk failure analysis, Hard disk design or test experience.
With experience interface customer directly, design hard disk based on external customers' requirements.
Contact headquarter overseas engineers to customize hard disk for our external clients.
Strong communication skill in English & Chinese, set up good relatioship with clients.
Ensure our newly designed products meet external customers' qualification and requirements.
Strong capability to solve the techinical problem together with engineer and customers.

The primary role of the Qualification Engineer is to function as the internal Customer Champion for a select group of direct OEM customers. The Qualification Engineer may also act as a technical liaison directing validation and compatibility test efforts with market segment partners. The key to success in this role is a) great cross-functional communication with customers, partners, and other WD functional groups, b) developing a broad understanding of the specific market segments, competitive product offerings, and partner infrastructure, c) intimate knowledge of individual customer requirements and sensitivities, and d) diligent refining and timely execution of internal and customer specific qualification processes.


REQUIREMENTS:
? Engineering background with hard-disk drive experience
? Understanding of qualification and engineering validation test processes for disk drives
? Strong verbal & written communication skills
? Ability to collaborate within a team structure
? Project timeline, spreadsheet and basic statistics understanding
? Excellent interpersonal skills
? Ability to interface with customers and resolve problems with all engineering disciplines
? Ability to travel periodically (both domestic and international) to support customer-site design reviews or other meetings
? Self-starting team player
? Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
? Engineering degree (prefer electrical or mechanical discipline)
? Must have Technical background and hard disk drive experience (minimum of 2 year)
? Preferred Enterprise, Desktop, or Mobile class hard-disk drive background in a qualification engineering or technical marketing role
? Experience and understanding of customer qualification requirements
