PURPOSE AND OBJECTIVES
The Global SAP Co-Innovation Lab (COIL) Network facilitates project-based co-innovation with SAP partners. COIL enhances the capabilities of SAP's partner and customer ecosystem through an integrated network of world-wide expertise, and best-in-class technologies and platforms. COIL acts as an intelligent interface, allowing SAP and its partners to jointly engage in a well-defined process from concept incubation and mutual co-investment agreement to roll-out. Joint achievements are ultimately packaged and showcased in COIL facilities, events, SAP Community Network, and more. COIL offers a private cloud - data centers currently located in Palo Alto and Tokyo - with hosted systems containing SAP (and partner) software for, among others, prototyping, integrations, development and solution validation. The Global COIL Network has representations in Bangalore, Palo Alto, São Paulo, Singapore, Tokyo, and Walldorf. Now, we are opening a Co-Innovation Lab in Shanghai. The Co-Innovation Architect for SAP Technology and Infrastructure will evaluate, guide and support co-innovation projects in SAP technology in adherence with the global standards of SAP Co-Innovation Labs. The person is also responsible for set-up and operations of SAP systems and technology for COIL projects in China. The co-innovation architect has a strong planning and execution drive as well as communication skills to deliver high-quality SAP technology services for co-innovation projects in a heterogeneous environment (different company and country cultures).
EXPECTATIONS AND TASKS
As Co-Innovation Architect (f/m) for SAP Technology and Infrastructure for COIL Shanghai you
? Evaluate, guide and lead innovative projects on SAP technology executed in the COIL datacenter
? Install and set up heterogeneous project system landscapes with SAP and non-SAP components
? Consult application and development projects regarding system landscapes offered out of the COIL private cloud
? Integrate with global COIL datacenter operations in alignment with best practices and tools of the COIL datacenters
? Communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical project stakeholders
? Collaborate successfully with local and global software partners
? Collaborate closely within Global COIL Network colleagues for best practices, knowledge exchange and support
? Ensure high quality of COIL technology and datacenter services
? Report according to global COIL standards
EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES
Your background includes:
? Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or Natural Sciences
? In-depth knowledge of SAP, Business Objects and Sybase technology (installation, administration, configuration, updates) is a must
? Knowledge of SAP, Business Object and Sybase products is a plus
? Knowledge of enterprise virtualization, storage, server and network technologies is a plus
? Proven skills in project management
? Very good communication skills
? Negotiation skills
? Strong alignment and collaboration skills to work within virtual, multi-cultural, heterogeneous and remote teams
? Creative approach to problem solving while working on a tight schedule and budget
? Strong aptitude for learning new SAP technologies and adopting them in the COIL datacenters
? Interested in working effectively in a small but powerful team, while developing close working relationships with teams outside and inside SAP
? Fluency in English and Mandarin is a must
WORK EXPERIENCE
? At least 5+ years of relevant experience
? Track record of setting up and operating SAP system landscapes in a senior role
? Expertise in working with customers, partners and suppliers
