Department 30800 named Body & Exterior is a part of Research and Development Division of Volvo Car Technology, is looking for a DPL to manage the implementation of body & exterior systems of a new car program and cost reduction project in China.
1. Project Management
2. Deliver timing plans, engineering activities as well as confirmed cost
3. Cross functional quality assurance and optimized delivery acc to agreed project request
4. Anchor with line management and report into the project structure; decisions, status and prognosis
5. Brake down VP plans for each area of responsibility to support the overall timing requirements from the project
6. Cross functional management and responsibility for delivering the task
7. Follow decided working principles acc to GPDS (Global Product Development System) and applicable routines in BMS (Business Management System)

1. Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equal qualification
2. Thorough knowledge of engineering techniques associated with project management
3. Minimum 3 years of automotive experience, working for an OEM or supplier
4. Good leadership behavior and cooperation skills
5. Good skills in computer programs such as Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
6. Excellent analytical, problem solving, decision making and communication skills
7. Good coaching skills to help other team members in solving engineering problems.
8. Experience of project management/engineering in at least one of the following exterior systems: BIW, Closures, and Exterior System & Trim
9. Fluent in speaking, presentation and written communication skills in English
