PURPOSE OF THE JOB:
Main responsibility for this position is: Daily update of the transport software system assignments from the start to the end, and daily contact with carriers to secure that goods are picked up on time. Cost optimization to reach defined service levels and key figures.

ASSIGNMENTS:
Daily Tasks
- To book, reschedule, monitor & cancel shipments
- To update extra costs in shipments
optimal Solutions
- To select optimal transport solutions
Communication & Working with others
-To work in close cooperation with others in the Supply Chain (carriers/ BD's etc) to solve operational issues & optimise the transport booking process
Routines & Working methods
- To ensure shipments are in accordance with IKEA's routines & working methods
- To optimise transport booking process & monitor the use of existing transport solutions
Service follow-ups
- To correct wrong data updates in CNS
- To ensure base data is complete and events & reason codes are updated
Quality & Claims
- To investigate claims with regard to extra costs & resolve claim issues.
The position includes the above mentioned tasks, but is not limited to them. Area specific tasks may be added/ assigned..

KNOWLEDGE:
- Knowledge of the operational and delivery processes (sender, carrier, receiver) in the transport industry
- Preferred education or valid experience in transport/logistics or related area
- Computer literacy from a user perspective
- Fluent in English and local language
