Objective:
According to agreed production plans, supervisor's direction and relevant engineering specifications and the requirements of relevant statutory rules, plan, direct, monitor and review all activities of maintenance, energy utility units, and project engineering to support production needs with cost effectiveness and work efficiency, meeting EHS standards in regard to all RC code.
Main Tasks:
1. The operations of production machinery/equipment
According production requirements, timely organize and direct the installation/move/remove/modifications of production equipment/machinery following specifications and quality standards to ensure the engineering support and machinery /equipment are in place to meet production needs.
2. Preparation of utility supply/engineering services
According to production needs, ensure suitable and efficient supply by utility units, in terms of quality and timing, as well engineering services to support production.
3. Maintenance and repair services
According to production plans, develop, monitor, implement and review the policies and coordinating the major activities/projects in maintenance and repair services.
4. Production Planning Support
Evaluate the engineering capacity, utility supply, maintenance and repairing schedules to provide realistic and useful recommendation of plant capacity and E&M manpower, support for activity planning together with pear departments, smoothly coordinated in order to optimize resources meeting sales orders.
5. Saftey and housekeeping
According to corporate, company and statutory EHS&Q requirements, develop and monitor the relevant safety and environment protection policies and procedures applied in the relevant engineering areas together with EHS Manager.
6. Qulaity Assurance
Ensure all the team members understand and act upon the requirements of company QA policies, procedures and objectives, especially the relevant quality control systems, e.g. ISO standards, in service delivery, monitoring machinery/equipment performance, in order to meet the QA objectivies and enhance productivity.
7. People and function management
Plan and control the function sturcture and manpower requirements, headcount and budget, establish development measures and appraise the performance of the team. Direct and prioritize the workload of team member. Train (via on-the-job, in-house and/or external training programs) and coach the direct reports (who are mostly experienced professionals/managers) and develop the succession planning in order to imporve the working efficiency, quality and professional skills of the team members. Compile and review work records to determine department productivity, quality of output and cost of service. Develop methods to continually improve results.
8. Budget and Cost Control
Evaluate and develop own annual and project budgets and administer funds accrding to budget approval. Provide information to mangement regarding the budget for equipment, software and hardware purchases/installation and maintenance.
9. Investment Project Management
Coordinate activities of own project engineering team for planning, application, implementation and review according to company guidelines. Drive for improvements of existing and planned processes, involve competent experts as required.
10. Technology Management
Act as TST coordinator for activities of TST Physical Operation as agreed with head of TST. Act as the site's Energy Champion to conduct resource saving activities, introduce necessary tools, monitor progress to propose and implement improvements and related developments.
Qualification and Experience
1. Bachelor degree with major in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering.
2. 5 years related working experience.
