Technical service Engineer for PU system products. Develop products and provide technical services to customers. Support the implementation of sales strategies in the assigned areas/ fields. Support Sales/Marketing on business development and customer management, provision of updated market intelligence to supervisor/team, especially focus on Japanese OEM & Tiers.







OBJECTIVES OF THE POSITION

1. Be responsible for technical service of PU system business for Japanese transplant market , can work under pressure and independently;


2. Provide fast and professional technical service to customers; Develop new and improve existing products according to customer's requirements;


3. Promote the long term customer relationship to ensure a profitable customer base, can communicate with Japanese customers smoothly;


4. Collect marketing information, develop new customers, and coordinate closely with sales to achieve sales target;


5. Willing to travel to customers in case needed;


6. Ensure that BASF and local SHE regulations are observed within the company;





MAIN TASKS:


1. Have comprehensive knowledge about PU products, can be familiar with our main applications in short time (3-5 months), then can start work independently;


2. Provide fast and professional technical service to Japanese transplant customers. Follow up customer’s complains and issues in fast, efficient and professional manner;


3. Working under pressure, can solve customer’s technical issues independently at most of time;


4. Develop new products and improve existing polyurethane systems according to customer’s increasing requirements, balance the performance, quality and cost;


5. Essential communication skill in Japanese, to establish long term customer relationship and ensure a profitable customer base;


6. Collect marketing information on competitive Japanese transplant activities, develop new customers, and coordinate closely with sales to achieve sales target;


7. Prepare and keep documentation of all technical activities, finish all work according to quality system requirements;


8. Ensure that BASF and local SHE regulations are observed within the company;


9. Coordinate closely within internal team to ensure that consistent quality batches are produced in a timely manner.





RELATED QUALIFICATION:

1. Education: Bachelor or above, major in Polymer Science or Chemical Engineering.
2. Working Experience: 5 years working experience in PU industry, or related polymer industry, especially the experience of polymer recipe development, and trouble shooting in production. The experience in Japanese OEMs and Tiers are also preferred.

3. Technical & Professional Knowledge: Good computer operation skill including good knowledge of Microsoft Office. Good command of Japanese in speaking and written. Also have skill in English, at least for written.
