Position: Applications Engineer-Staff
Division: CBU
Location: Shanghai

Responsibilities:
As Staff Applications Engineer, your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to the following:
Design and implementation of customer specific requirements based on the standard CBU’s family of processors and software offerings
Design and code applications to demonstrate the many different capabilities of the CBU’s family of processors.
Integration, debugging, and verification of embedded firmware features in C and Assembly
Work with sales, marketing and R&D team to provide service and support to customers, including but not limited to product/application training, product/application presentation and problem solving

Qualifications:
Proven track record of dedication to customer debug or technical support.
6+ years in engineering development or application roles.
BS or MS in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering/Science
Knowledge of board-level hardware and software development tools and techniques.
Detailed and extensive knowledge of communication protocols in the areas like PTN, IPRAN, ATM, TCP/IP, VPN, MPLS etc.
Development experience in C
Good verbal and written communication skills in both Chinese and English
10% - 30% travelling time required

Desirable
Familiarity with switch chip or Network Processor architectures
Experience with microcode development and debugging is a plus
