Objectives:
Opened in November 2012, The Innovation Campus in Shanghai is our largest research site in Asia Pacific. As we continue to grow our state-of-the-art facility here in Pudong, we are looking for a junior chemist to join our multi-cultural team and grow under the supervision of our lab team leader.
Main Tasks:
Performing a range of scientific research tasks using modern equipment supplied from Germany
Analysis and documentation of results and suggestion of further experimental steps as relevant
Preparation of technical reports, examinations and summaries that will help us shape a more sustainable future
Caring for lab equipment, e.g. reactors, and performance of lab duties to help ensure that we keep the outstanding analytical performance level that guarantees the high quality of BASF products
Ensuring compliance with regulations concerning safety, health and environment
Be part of a strong R&D network with various BASF sites
Requirements:
You have earned a Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry (preferably polymer related) or you have at least three years’ work experience in a chemical lab.
You are fluent in Chinese and have very strong oral English skills.
As you will be working closely with colleagues from different nationalities on a daily basis. A consistent and self-driven working style as well as demonstrable teamworking ability completes your profile.
