JOB TITLE: Tech Infrastructure Data Centre Tech & Ops Consultant
LOCATION: Beijing / Shanghai
Technology Consulting professionals are responsible for delivering technology innovation and providing the backbone of our systems integration business.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES MAY INCLUDE:
Technology Consulting professionals are responsible for delivering technology innovation and providing the backbone of our systems integration business. Technology Infrastructure professionals focus on the technology foundation required to enable enterprise/agency-wide applications such as e-mail, voice mail, messaging, security, and database software (for functionally specific applications). They have skills in hardware, common carrier bandwidth, onsite communications equipment, storage, and related software.
Data Centre Technology & Operations professionals focus on storage, database technologies, platform technologies, operating systems, event/fault monitoring, backup/recovery, problem management, service desk, change management and operations gap assessments. Specific to Data Center Technologies, individuals will take a holistic approach to consolidating and optimizing sophisticated data center environments, including physical data center facilities and critical infrastructure components including servers, enterprise storage, database and predictive operations environments. In Data Center Operations, individuals will focus on all aspects of IT Infrastructure Operations including assessment and process development for ITIL's IT Service Management, covering all phases of work from RFP development, and initial assessment/diagnostic through to process, organization and/or technology design and implementation.
Key responsibilities may include:
? Driving, supervising and reviewing technology diagnosis and assessment activities
? Identifying opportunities for technology-related improvement based on benchmark data and doing high-level cost benefit analysis
? Developing a high level design which supports a robust technology solution, taking into account the user requirements, technical requirements, etc.
? Driving technology architecture and infrastructure design activities
? Reviewing and supervising design components
? Developing design and transition approaches
? Driving and supervising technology build, test and deployment activities
? Troubleshooting, diagnosing, and supporting application development
PROFESSIONAL SKILL REQUIREMENTS
? Strong experience in server virtualization especially on VMWare and Oracle VM.
? Experience in common database and middleware technology.
? Experience in technology solution design and delivery include server, storage, network and security.
? Be good at performance tuning and troubleshooting.
? Has been a Technical Architect or Solution Architect on key banking system delivery.
? Experience in lead and co-operate with various vendors to achieve the delivery milestone.
? Experience in Infrastructure Planning and Transformation, Database Technologies, Data Center Consolidation, Servers, Storage, Infrastructure Strategy, Storage Consolidation, Server Consolidation, Database Conversion, Availability Management (HP, Mercury, BMC, CA, IBM, Veritas), Capacity Management.
? Ability to meet travel requirements, when applicable
? Eagerness to contribute in a team-oriented environment
? Ability to work creatively and analytically in a problem-solving environment
? Desire to work in an information systems environment
? Good communication (written and oral) and interpersonal skills
