Fabric QA - (Knits and Wovens)
STRATEGIC:
- To build and strengthen ties with mills;
- Fabric color and quality management with all mills To ensure all sms and bulk fabrics are within Guess standards and timeline (working in conjunction with merchandise teams for fabric and garments).
- Implement a pre-production process between mills /the fabric R&D team and the garment factories, to ensure our quality standard is followed and known to all parties.
- Work closely with the Hong Kong manager for fabric color and testing, to co-ordinate potential issues and find solutions.
DAILY:
- Manage all LA Mainline, EU Mainline by Guess, Factory SMS fabric color, quality checking to ensure all fabric are within our standard
- Setting bulk standard with mills for each fabric from sms to bulk
- Daily communication with Fabric Mills for each of our bulk orders and ensures the bulk come out timely and accurately.
- Solving potential problems that can happen during the bulk production and ensure the bulk meeting our quality standard.
- Monitoring mills bulk production L/T, coordinating with sourcing team, garment factory and mills for the bulk delivery.
- Working closely with fabric Merchandise and mills to ensure each of the new developments are within commercial production standards.
- Helping mills to fully understanding of our testing manual.
- Solving the bulk problem between mills and garment factory.
- Random inspection of the fabric in mills before shipping to garment factory.
