The Optical Engineer will be part of a team designing and testing miniature electro-optic systems used in spectrophotometer. Responsibilities include the design, analysis, fabrication, assembly and testing miniaturized spectrophotometer devices. More specifically the duties and responsibilities will include:
- Design spectroscopy measurement system
- Design miniaturized optical assemblies including tolerance analysis
- Develop components, sub-systems, and system specifications
- Perform Risk analysis
- Identify suppliers of applicable components
- Design experiments and test setup
- Prepare review material and participation in design reviews
- Prototype assembly
- Perform verification testing

REQUIREMENTS

- Basic Qualifications
- Practical application experience of the spectroscopy, especially Raman, Infrared, VIS and UV spectrum measurement;
- Qualified candidates should have a MS or PhD in Optical Engineering, Physics, or other equivalent area of expertise.
- Solid understanding of optics and optical design
- Proficient in Zemax design and analysis tools
- Proficient in SolidWorks
- Commitment to collaborative technology development
- Excellent communication skills.
