Responsibilities:

- Be responsible for daily production of Asia market risk reports which includes monitoring positions against limits, generating VaR calculations, explaining for VaR movements, and options sensitivity reporting. A good understanding of VaR methodology is required to analyse and explain VaR reports.

Equally crucial would be to ensure that the price to positions static data are properly maintained, SAS codes are updated in line with new departments or commodities added to the portfolio.

Proficiency in SAS and Matlab computer language programming is essential since there will be a need to investigate and troubleshoot when the the program fails either due to infrastructure problems or input data problems.

- Will have regular interaction with system administrators such as OPRS, GTM, SAS to ensure that the information flow and static master data setup across various systems are valid. Regular interaction with traders and accountants will take place to explain risk reports as well as to ensure accuracy of positions and prices being reported to CRO.

- A good understanding of options valuation would be ideal.

- Ad hoc projects will be centered around quantitative analysis to support traders.

Requirements:

IT Skills:

1) Programming in Matlab, SAS, Excel VBA

2) Proficiency in MS Excel and Access

Education:

A degree in a quantitative subject such as engineering or statistics, preferable financial engineering

Years of Experience:

1 to 3 years of relevant experience in risk reporting. Open to risk candidates from either banking or asset management functions.
