For our Sourcing Office in Shanghai – we are looking for a Senior Merchandiser for jersey & Knit departments. The successful candidate will work closely with the buyer, product manager and designer from Paris.

Your Responsibilities:

- To find the most efficient garment for sampling and mass-productions according TALLY WEiJL requirements regarding design, trend, quality and buying standards.

- Select the latest fashion items according TW profile from suppliers collection

- Nominate key garment suppliers, ensure capacity is booked, and build an effective supplier network.

- Negotiate cost and deadlines, managing the margin according to the requests and respect the deadlines

- Conduct comparative analysis of current price offers from different suppliers with historic ones.

- To follow up and coordinate all stage of the order.

- Train supplier to meet TW standards.

- Work close with the Buyers, Production manager, Technical and Quality department.

Your Profile

- Minimum 5-6 years’ experience as Merchandiser in a fashion women’s wear company；Professional in Lady Fashion—Knit filed, as blouse, Skirt, Dress and etc.

- Bachelor degree or above from Textile / Clothing engineering

- Excellent English knowledge orally and in written

- Good communication skill with excellent negotiation and presentation skills

- Strong product knowledge and technical background specially on jersey or woven items

- Organized and self-motivated person, able to work independently and also in a team within a fast paced environment

TALLY WEiJL was founded by Beat Grüring and Tally Elfassi-Weijl in 1984 in Lohn, Switzerland. It initially started out as a hobby which they took up parallel to their studies. They sold a newer and faster sort of collection to Swiss fashion boutiques. In doing so, they realized soon that there was a market gap within this industry for attractive fashion. As a result, they started to realize their own concept of “sexy fashion”. At that time they already designed 12 collections a year, a collection per month, and all this in a 50m2 garage.
