JOB SUMMARY:
The Product Compliance Engineer shall be an expert on product compliance requriements covering electrical safety, environmental and health areas as well as be responsible for product certification and continuously monitoring the status of product approvals. Activities under the resonsiblities of the Product Compliance Engineer involves management of current product certifications, part approvals, analyzing and problem solving of issues related to product compliance, improvement of management system related to product compliance needs. The product compliance engineer shall be involved in product design projects as support to project manager on compliance related areas.





RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES:
1 Responsible to collect, study, understand and maintain regulations, directives and standards, like EU regulations and directives, IEC, EN and local standards, which are applicable for the company's products, covering relevant electrical product safety, environmental and health areas.
2 Responsible for surveillance and control of updates applicable to regulations, directives, standards, recommendations that affect in any way products.
3 Inform internally for any updates of regulations, directives and standards related to product compliance and handle any issues caused by any such update to keep company product compliance continuously valid.
4 Check the parts chosen and the new product developed on product compliance requirements during new product development stages and support R&D department to analyze any relevant issues.
5 Collect, confirm and manage component certification information/documentation to keep good order according to instruction.
6 Support R&D department to prepare and create product technical documentation to meet product compliance requirements.
7 Deal with daily communication with product certification agency to successfully reach product compliance targets and time schedules. Responsibility involves to professionally transfer information between external partner to the internal development team and follow up any issues found during product certification such as documentation, components, finished products etc.
8 Participate in corrective or preventive action teams to analyze and solve product compliance related problems.
9 Check Engineering Change Request on product compliance requirements.
10 Prepare work instruction or other necessary documentation related to product compliance assurance.
11 Support System and Product Compliance Supervisor to define, establish, maintain and continuously improve a management system to ensure a good product compliance management on electrical product safety, environmental and health areas.


EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
1 Minimum 4 years bachelor, master will be a plus
2 Major in electrical engineering or industrial automation a must
3 Minimum 5 years work experence relating to electrical safety certification for household appliances/white goods.
4 "Must have proven experience and knowledge in the following areas:
- IECEE CB Scheme
- Low voltage directive (LVD)
- IEC 60335 Standards (especially IEC 60335-1, IEC 60335-2-15 and IEC 60335-2-75)
- EMC Standards applicable to household equipment"
5 "The following experience is a plus:
- CCC approval process and standard related to Coffee Machinery or similar product
- UL standards (Especially UL 197, UL 60335)
- NSF standards (Especially NSF 51, NSF 61, NSF 18)"
6 Must have experience in reading and interpreting drawings and schematics
7 Minimum English level CET-6 or middle level interpretation certified
8 Should feel comfortable working in a foreign company with English as main language

OTHER SKILLS & ABILITIES:
1 Good skills in Microsoft Office suite
2 Analytic and problem solving abilities preferred
3 Used to working with deadlines
4 Time management skills for high productivity
