1. Purpose:

Support Emerson Tool Company in Asia Pacific in improving the overall performance of their supply chains by focusing on improvements in speed, flexibility and robust quality and delivery performance.

2. Duties & Responsibilities (By Category and %):
A: Lead and Support ETC and ACP China suppliers in improving their performance in terms of---40%
a) Quality
b) On Time Delivery
c) Delivery Frequency (such as VMI program)
d) Speed (Lead Time)
e) Flexibility
B: Deliver Lean Awareness Trainings to ETC and ACP China Suppliers annually. Guide ETC China quality team & Supplier on follow up projects to drive Supply Chain Lean improvements. ---20%
C. Conduct ESAC Audit at ETC and ACP China supplier with ETC China quality team and follow up the CARs.---15%
D. Lead and guide ETC and ACP China Suppliers to continuously improve their quality process in critical component, such as motor and tooling. ---15%
E. Deliver Supplier On-Boarding Training to ETC and ACP suppliers in establishing e-sourcing events and excellence in follow-up actions like optimum supply network design decisions and part & process qualifications if needed.---10%

3. Policy Making / Decision Making Responsibilities
Assignments are received in the form of results expected, but there is freedom to decide on the procedures to follow.

4. Qualifications and Experience
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering. Mechanical preferred. Electrical / Electronics also acceptable.
Around 5 – 7 years of Work Experience in suitably sized organization in functions like Supply Chain or Manufacturing or Quality Assurance.
Must be able to communicate to an acceptable level in English, both written and oral.
Acceptable skills in MS Office Applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
Should be open to business travel as needed.

Preferred:
1) Prior knowledge / training in Lean Manufacturing. Practical experience in driving associated projects would be an added advantage.
2) Prior knowledge / training in 6-Sigma (Green Belt / Black Belt). Practical experience in driving associated projects would be an added advantage.
3) Knowledge of some Manufacturing Processes and Commodities like Machining, Casting, Plastics, and Electronic Contract Manufacturing would be good to have.
4) Higher proficiency in English would be preferred.
5) Knowledge of MRP/ERP Systems.
6) Experience as a Manufacturing Engineer (establish a manufacturing process on the production line and be responsible for the overall quality and delivery performance of the line’s output) would be highly preferred.
