Senior Manager – Deal Management

The Global Finance Operation Beijing Deal Management Center for Oracle provides Contract drafting and management support for Great China Region, Japan and Korea.
Our Mission: To provide a predictable, scalable, high quality, cost effective contracting document service, while managing risk and enabling sales to win compliant business.
Deal Management is responsible for the preparation, acceptance, and management of commercial contracts in accordance with Corporate policies; including agreements for all Licenses, Services and Systems etc LoBs. To work with Legal, Sales, other Finance teams through the deal cycle. This role is responsible to handle one of the lines of business in Beijing across non English speaking countries in North East of Asia Pacific, managing managers and deal specialists. Span of Management is around 15 heads.

Job responsibilities:

? Contract Management
? Prepare, accept and manage commercial contracts in accordance with Corporate policies
? Reviews and approves all contractual documents for protection of Oracle’s contractual posture, satisfaction of customer specifications, and adherence to company policy.
? Facilitate Legal and business team throughout the contract negotiating and drafting process;
? Monitor contract and business terms to mitigate Oracle’s risk to ensure all necessary approvals are received.
? Planning and securing delivery
? Manages and controls activities in multi-functional areas of sections. Ensures appropriate operational planning is effectively executed to meet Corporate business needs
? Need to have a high level of operational excellence, improving performance and implementing change
? Managing escalation and keeping the communication channels opened with other stakeholders
? Working globally, Building relationship and managing stakeholders
? Act as leader, interacting with multiple stakeholders, implementing standardized policies/procedures, aligning with different functions and adding value to business
? Work closely with Sales, Order Management, Legal, Revenue Recognition and other finance teams to solve business problems
? Process Improvement
? Identify and implement process improvement initiatives to increase productivity and KPI’s thereby saving cost, adopting best practices by partnering with other teams and recommend process enhancements
? Quality assurance and improvement
? Ensure and improve quality standards
? Quality a way of life
? Building, Developing & Coaching team
? Mentor team to become more competitive globally for newer projects and opportunities
? Understand training needs / solutions and implement these to improve team’s competencies and have a good succession plan
? Manage relative large team
.
Job Requirements:
o BA/BS in Legal, Commercial related, Paralegal Certification or MBA is preferred.
o Minimum 10+ years relevant business experience, good at drafting and negotiating complex commercial, state and/or local government contracts. preferably contracts management experience.
o Experience with Oracle’s application software preferred
o Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills
o Open to work in shifts for serving Asia Pacific countries
o Highly motivated team player with excellent analytical skills
o Strong people management skills, especially coaching and counseling capabilities
o Demonstrated leadership,planning and decision making abilities
o Exposure in quality management (six-sigma, TQM)
o Language capabilities, good English in both verbal and writing is must, other language skills in Cantonese, Japanese or Korean is preferred.
