Role Purposes:

1. Take part in the supplier audit, selection and sourcing decisions by assessment of suppliers’ capability and risk, and also monitor and develop suppliers to improve their performance and contribute to global supply chain goals and supplier strategy.
2. Mentor SQE within the team to assist in their personal development including supplier management skills, quality tools, APQP tracking and program quality management.

Responsibilities:
1. Assist in the development of supplier development strategy for assigned commodity with team to support company business goals and supply chain strategy.
2. Follow up program development timing plan and requirements, manage and track supplier APQP status and PPAP submission and approval.
3. Participate in new source decision, responsible for new supplier audit, development and qualification.
4. Define and review boundary samples with engineering and inspection gauge of approval
5. Supplier engineering change management and follow up.
6. Summarize & monitor supplier quality performance (PPM, CPK), drive the supplier to conduct CIP.
7. Supplier annual audit and irregular audit when necessary.
8. Handling nonconforming material issue and initiate actions to supplier with 8D problem solving, drive the supplier to do error-proof action.
9. Participate in customer/internal audit of responsible supplier and respond all relevant CA.
10. File related documents of SQE, such as supplier material issue list, supplier meeting, deviation, ECN list.
11. Coordinate internal team to work with supplier when necessary.
12. Hold the supplier quality review meeting of top worst supplier with sourcing team.
13. Train the supplier on Global Supplier Management Manual and others base on the supplier situation, share the lesson learned to the supplier in time, make sure supplier overall quality meet program quality and production quality target.
14. Other reasonable works assigned by the manager

Qualification:
1. At least bachelor in Mechanical/Material/Engineering or relevant discipline
2. Internal auditor/certificated for TS16949

Experience:
1. 8+ years experience in supplier quality and development, managing a team is a plus.
2. Preferred Automotive industry experience
3. Preferred experience of managing supplier from stamping, machining, plastics molding industry.
4. Experience in dealing with supplier audit, development, problem solving, program quality management

Skills & Knowledge:
1. Familiar with automotive quality systems and principles i.e. TS16949, APQP.
2. The ability to work autonomously and be flexible in their approach. Positive working attitude, with good communication skill and strong confidential sense, resolving complex problems neatly.
3. Skills & knowledge in problem solving, good analytical and problem solving skills, familiar with 8D.
4. Familiar with quality tools such as PPAP, SPC, MSA, FMEA, and Control Plan.
5. Basic knowledge of GD&T
6. Intermediate computer skills with MS Office Suite
7. Basic project management skills, internal and external customer management skills.
8. Effective written and verbal communication skills
