Module Change Release Engineer ¡V Job Description
Location: Shanghai / Changshu, PRC
Main Objectives:
Working for a Global Automotive OEM the successful candidate will be familiar with creating and managing a high quality Bill of Material (BoM) throughout the lifecycle of a product. The candidate will also be expected to support with the creation, coordination of change management processes and related documentation for their relevant engineering module team to help deliver timely releases and changes within the enterprise.
The successful candidate should have good knowledge of Microsoft Office products and have previous knowledge of data manipulation using Microsoft Excel and preferable Knowledge of Enovia V6 / Matrix One and Engineering Central, but training will be provided as necessary.

Main responsibilities
Working directly within one of the following engineering modules:-
-Body in White / Doors in Closures
-Chassis
-Powertrain
-HVAC
- Electrical
-Interior / Exterior Trim
-Driveline


Responsible for:-
-New Part Creation and Part Revisioning taking into consideration Fit, Form and Function and Interchangeability
-BoM Part Attribute Management.-Module Variant BoM Structure
-Fastener / Hardware coordination within module group.
-Cross Program Module Changes and Coordination.
-Change Request Coordination with affected business units by collating required necessary inputs ahead of Change request approval.
-Management and Tracking of Engineering Change Requests and any related incident reports as a result of plant or build issues.
-Managing the correct connections between Issues, Change Requests and Change orders in PLM.
-Creation of Engineering Change Orders and coordination of changes including prioritization and change bundling / consolidation depending of specific engineering criteria and feasibility.
-Coordination and progressing of all documentation required for the Change or Release by liaising with responsible engineer(s) and or suppliers to obtain data in a timely manner to meet Release deadlines.-Pre Audit of all documentation relating to the Change Request / Change Order prior to submission with the responsible engineer(s), including technical specifications such as Affected Items, Affected Programs, 2D Drawings, 3D Assembly structures and Engineering Bill of Material ensuring CAD / BoM alignment to ensure right first time releases.
-Progress of Engineering Change Orders and Requests through their appropriate approvals routes.
-Engineering representation in Break Point meetings to represent the Engineering Change and ensure smooth implementation ensuring that other affected Changes from different areas are timed and coordinated appropriately.

Essential Skills and Experience Required:-
-Recent BOM creation and BoM Management experience.
-Good knowledge and understanding of Change Management within an automotive environment.
-Be able to work under pressure
-Knowledge of Enovia V6 / Matrix One and Engineering Central preferred.
-Good knowledge of one of the above listed engineering modules
-General administration experience Excel/Word/PowerPoint skills.
-Excellent communication skills in English
-Preferred communication skills in Mandarin also, but not essential.

Education Required:
-Technical Degree/Certificate
- 8+ years¡¦ experience within a BoM / Change Management Team
