POSITION SUMMARY
HUSCO (International)(Automotive) provides individuals the opportunity to pursue a career within a fast-paced, industry leading and entrepreneurial organization. A Planner produces/tracks all parts and service production schedules, tracks inventory accuracy and capacity, coordinates parts and service shipments and will interface with Quality Assurance, Design Engineering, Manufacture, Purchasing and Inventory Control, Scheduling, and Shipping/Receiving. A successful Planner is a strong leader, a good problem-solver and self-motivated.
PERFORMANCE OBJECTIVES
? Communicate Effectively. Effectively communicate any customer related issues to applicable people. Issues could be component problems, missed shipments, or schedule changes. Clearly communicate responsibilities, expectations, and priorities to shipping personnel. Interact with customers regarding shipments, schedule changes, shortages, or other topics to develop and maintain a good working relationship.
? Prioritize Daily Activities. Able to work in a fast paced environment with limited resources and a sense of urgency. Effectively prioritize and complete supply chain activities – processing shipments, scheduling, shipping, logistics, customer service.
? Utilize Various Systems Effectively. Strong understanding and utilization of the following systems:
? Baan - Material Requirements Planning; Process shipments and produce barcode labels and maintain Item Master. Create, track, and reschedule Shop Floor Control (SFC) orders using Baan ERP system
? Crystal Reports- Generate reports and organizes data using report writing applications and Excel.
? Excel - Create spreadsheets and update as needed.
? Material purchasing. Maintain accurate item data in BAAN, Release purchase schedules and purchase orders to suppliers and follow up the delivery. Work with production and sales departments to determine safety stock level to fulfill customer requirements. Review purchase schedule and purchase order, contact suppliers to reschedule the parts dispatch date to align with variable production orders and customer orders. Follow up ECN to assure no excess inventory for ECN. Contact suppliers to get recovery for the RGA parts.
? Maintain Inventory Accuracy. Administer the Inventory Cycle Count Program to assure compliance with established accounting guidelines. Focus on statistical counting process, including appropriate root cause analysis and effective corrective action. Manage additional inventory counts on apparent records error conditions – find causes, develop solutions and make appropriate adjustments. Develop, implement, and maintain inventory control procedures and programs that ensure accurate inventory records. Participate and/or facilitate projects relating to inventory moves or changes in material flow practices to ensure inventory accuracy is properly maintained. Sustain appropriate inventory structure within the business system for individual items and bill of materials.
? Coordinate Disposition of Obsolete Inventory. Administer and coordinate disposition of obsolete inventory.
? Receive Inventory. Provide timely receipt of all inbound goods to the company, assuring the highest levels of inventory accuracy and turnaround. Support corporate inventory turns objectives through these activities. Support evaluation and processing of manual material requisitions.
? Support New Products. Provide necessary coordination for supporting new product and Engineering Change Requests from a business systems and work order maintenance perspective. Lead ECN process to maintain inventory control and to minimize obsolescence.
? Strong Team Player and Contributor. Able to work well with colleagues and produce results within a fast-paced and high pressure atmosphere. Combine strong attention to detail with an orientation towards results/execution.
ADDITIONAL DETAILS:
? Arrange the shift and persons in warehouse to cope with the business operation
? Coordinate the receiving/delivery/moving together with related department and customers, suppliers as well
? Follow with Quality department for the inventory management of the proto-type before SOP
? Maintain the data in BAAN for all the transaction
? Cope with production line by FIFO and material feeder routine
? Train the operators for operation and system
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
? Associates Degree above or equivalent education and experience.
? Prior experience in both inventory control and production planning strongly preferred, with a minimum of three (3) years of experience in a Materials related capacity required.
? Must have strong interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with other functional areas as follows: Quality Assurance, Design Engineering, Manufacture, Corporate Purchasing and Inventory Control, Scheduling.
? Effective trouble shooting, problem solving and organizational skills. Able to handle frequent interruptions, meet tight deadlines, and handle conflict in an effective manner.
? APICS certification preferred.
? Strong working knowledge of MRP/ERP systems. Baan experience preferred.
? Experience with Microsoft Office products.
? Ability to interact with people at all levels of responsibility.
? Good English skill with read, write and speak
