Position: Senior Field Applications Engineer
Division: Sales
Location: Beijing, China

Responsibilities:
Pre and Post Technical Sales support of PMC-Sierra's products at Tier 1 & focus customers for Beijing and north China region. Help sales to identify opportunities strictly for business win purpose.
Work closely with sales managers to develop strategies to close key opportunities and increase market share for PMC products in a large scale of applications
Provide on-site World Class post-win technical support to PMC's customers. Product debug in customer lab including device/system level hardware, firmware and software
Establish strong relationships and communication channels with internal applications and design teams
Perform good communications between product lines and account managers for customer issues and program backgrounds
Proactively establish strong relationships with key decision makers within engineering and management at focused accounts.

Qualifications:
BSEE or equivalent required
Minimum of 3+ years of SW R&D experience for driver and OS relevant development, HW experience is preferred.
2+ years of customer support working experience are preferred
Strong understanding of basic OS principle and Linux family kernel architecture
Strong understanding of today's storage architecture, familiar with major storage protocols (SAS/SATA, SCSI, SES, FC etc.)
Good understanding of different CPUs architecture
Strong communication skills in English (written, verbal, and presentation)
Strong time-management capabilities
Customer focused. Results oriented.
Creative thinking and innovation with analytic problem-solving ability.
Ability to objectively prioritize and balance support/sales needs ? willing to travel frequently and longtime remote onsite support.
