Job
Purpose and Key Responsibilities:

• Have a strong awareness and
  accountability for personal safety and where appropriate for the safety of
  direct reports.
• Responsible for planning, organizing,
  and monitoring in the administration of animal health or veterinary
  functions.
• Independently resolve daily
  veterinarian issues within an assigned area.
• Supervise professional or
  paraprofessional staff for animal experiments.
• Supervise an occupational health &
  safety program
• Oversee in vivo scientists' animal
  work compliance with company's policy
• Provide guidance and training for
  other staff and scientists in a functional area.
• Identify and implements strategies or
  processes to support agency and program missions.
• Initiate and execute innovative animal
  work such as animal model development, new animal technologies.
• Involve in animal model development,
  characterization and application

Accountability:

• Have a strong awareness

  and assisting in the administration of animal health or veterinary
  functions.
• Independently resolve daily veterinarian
  issues within an assigned area.
• May supervise professional or
  paraprofessional staff for animal experiments.
• Provide guidance and training for
  other staff and scientists in a functional area.
• Identify and implements strategies or
  processes to support agency and program missions.

Complexity:

• Apply knowledge of principles, and
  practices governing veterinary science to the care and treatment of
  animals.
• Adhere to Accreditation Standards and
  other regulatory requirements for testing animals.
• Support investigators by performing
  skilled technical work.
• Interact with scientists, technicians,
  and other staff to provide technical expertise and to ensure that
  specialized procedures are performed properly.
• Serve as a professional with variable
  duties in veterinary field services or veterinary diagnostic work.
• Perform cooperative enforcement
  activities.
• Frequently contact with regulatory
  agencies, and veterinary practitioners to ensure compliance with animal
  health requirements.

Specialized
Knowledge:

Strong
knowledge and experience in laboratory animal medicine is required

Basic
Requirements:

Candidate
with Ph.D or outstanding candidate with MS in veterinary medicine is encouraged
to apply

Preferred
Requirements:

Experience
working in Pharmaceutical company is preferred but not necessary
