1. Purpose:
Support Emerson Business Units in Asia Pacific in improving the overall performance of their supply chains by focusing on improvements in speed, flexibility and robust quality and delivery performance.

2. Job Responsibility:
1) Support Business Unit Supply Chain teams as well as Corporate Commodity Teams in working with the supply base primarily in China and if required, other areas of Asia Pacific, in improving their performance in terms of :
? Quality
? Delivery
? Speed (Lead Time)
? Flexibility
Support ESAC Audit Requirements as needed with suppliers in the region
2)Deliver Lean Awareness Trainings to Asia BU Supply Chain teams as well as Preferred Suppliers in the region. Guide BU & Supplier teams on follow up projects to drive Supply Chain Lean improvements

3)Deliver Reliable Flow of Materials Trainings and D-Part Management Trainings to BU Supply Chain and Operations teams in Asia to support overall improvements in material availability as well as world class inventory management. Be able to support the BU teams on follow-up actions like:
? ABC Classifications
? Establish Exhibits like 245-C and 245-D
? Drive Supply Network Design improvement by establishing “A Plan For Every Part”
4)Deliver Supplier On-Boarding Training to the Asia BU Supply Chain teams to drive best practices in establishing e-sourcing events and excellence in follow-up actions like optimum supply network design decisions and part & process qualifications.
5)Support the Asia Perfect Execution teams as needed, to facilitate Perfect Execution initiatives in the region like BU workshops/trainings, VCM sessions and support on Mile Deep/Mile Wide projects.

3. Qualifications and Experience:
1)
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering. Mechanical preferred. Electrical / Electronics also acceptable.
Around 5 – 7 years of Work Experience in suitably sized organization in functions like Supply Chain or Manufacturing or Quality Assurance.
Must be able to communicate to an acceptable level in English, both written and oral.
Acceptable skills in MS Office Applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
Should be open to business travel to BU and supplier locations as needed.
2) Preferred:
? Prior knowledge / training in Lean Manufacturing. Practical experience in driving associated projects would be an added advantage.
? Prior knowledge / training in 6-Sigma (Green Belt / Black Belt). Practical experience in driving associated projects would be an added advantage.
? Knowledge of some Manufacturing Processes and Commodities like Machining, Casting, Forging, Plastics, Electronic Contract Manufacturing would be good to have.
? Higher proficiency in English would be preferred.
? Knowledge of MRP/ERP Systems
? Experience as a Manufacturing Engineer (establish a manufacturing process on the production line and be responsible for the overall quality and delivery performance of the line’s output) would be highly preferred.
